Our philosophy is to bring high-density and sustainable workforce housing products to transit-oriented infill locations in the central East Bay.
We bring these products to bear using different approaches and financing resources to meet individual project needs. This methodology allows us to pursue a variety of housing types and affordability options. Our philosophy is central to the projects that we are currently operating and constructing in Berkeley and in Oakland. In so doing, we are able to develop accretive strategies that combine workforce housing and green building - while providing beautiful, happy and engaged homes for our tenants and the communities in which they live.
Our team are experts at combining innovation with new financing modalities to get things done the first time and set them on a path to scale.
Recently, we completed and stabilized a highly sustainable, all-electric, missing middle housing development in West Oakland that is on-track to achieve zero-net energy production. And we also recently completed the first municipal bond financing in the U.S. for co-living and for all-electric development. We have particular depth of expertise in co-living, modular/pre-fab construction, workforce housing and renewable energy including new business models in ZNE and/or embodied carbon reduction.
